Citroen C4 Grand Picasso - Intermittent juddering/engine cutouts from cold. Hi there,   I wonder if anyone can help us, we’ve been experiencing intermittent problems with the semi-automatic gearbox on our 2014 Picasso Grand over the last year. My Car is a Citroen Grand Picasso C4 2008 6-speed auto with EGS - the car starts O.,K. but when you select drive it just stays in A1 and just crawls at a minimum speed. it doesn't change up at all and there's no acceleration whatsoever. Was dpf off but was back to orginal map and is the same problem on orginal map. Hi, Check battery low voltage. Change it if possible. Check alternator working ok. Batery is new and alternator work fine. Lights esp and auto handbrake on dashbord is on when car is driving. When I turn off engine and start again lights is off. Replying to post by mato9413: Hello, last month I bought C4 Picasso 2013 (68kW, 1.6HDi) from private seller. Car worked good, but now sometimes when I start the engine, goes to fault "Parking brake fault: Have the vehicle repaired" and "Gearbox fault: Have the vehicle repaired". Alec, before launching into a clutch job, try an extra earth lead (jumper) between the gearbox case and the body or battery -ve. If it comes good, suspect an earth under the battery tray and also on the gearbox. The clutch won't have a long life if the vehicle is treated as a regular auto and, say, often slipped up a steep drive in reverse. Joined: Mar 08 2009. Location: Kent, UK. The changes are controlled by hydraulics so overnight temperatures could have an effect and of course fluid level in the header bottle. Low level is an obvious problem but also too high a level leaves too little compressible air and an erratic functioning. When the Citroen C4 Picasso immobilizer warning light is illuminated, it means that there is a problem with the vehicle’s immobilizer system. This system prevents the engine from being started without the correct key. If the light flashes, the system is not working correctly, and the engine may start without the right key. Location: Hove. IIRC it goes something linke this: -. Get the engine warm. Find a flat, safe straight piece of road & stop. Make sure the selector is in A. Floor the accelerator fully - past the kick down stop & keep it there until it hits 3rd gear. REMEMBER: BE SAFE! it's a big car & really shifts from a standstill! I have recently replaced the high pressure hose that feeds the EGS gearbox actuator fluid from the reservoir as it was leaking on my 2008 C4 Grand Picasso 2.0 HDI and previously wouldn't select gear at all. This was definitely the fault as I could see the source of the leak and the reservoir was pretty much empty. Remove the oil level plug (2). (A) If there is a stream of oil then reducing to a sequence of drips: Refit the oil level plug (2). (B) If there is a sequence of drips or nothing: Refit the oil level plug (2). Stop the engine. Add 0.5 additional litres of oil in the gearbox. Repeat the top-up procedure. N.B.: Tue Jan 19 2016, 05:23pm. Member No: #43380. Joined: Jan 19 2016. Location: Uk. Hi I have just purchased a C4 Picasso 1.6HDi 110 68k. Over the last couple of days driving it I have noticed when I change gear or pull off there is a second or 2 of slow acceleration / hesitation before it takes off similar to turbo lag. .
